It's still small with only a few habitats-two bears, two wolves, two nile monitors (giant lizards), one Galapagos tortoise, plus enclosed glass exhibits featuring two tarantulas and two snakes. Take my current zoo, which I've named Zoo Bisou. (Image credit: Frontier Developments) Gibbon Architect But some of the stress of Planet Zoo is due to parts of the game not working that well. This is mostly a good thing-stressful experiences can be a weird sort of fun, and heart-wrenching guilt should be a feature in more games. None of the lives you're in charge of actually want to be there, and making a mistake puts those lives in danger. At its most stressful, Planet Zoo is more like Frostpunk or Prison Architect. In fact, forget that I just compared it to Planet Coaster. Planet Zoo isn't just a management sim, it's a survival game. I couldn't even keep an ugly bug that eats dead leaves happy, and I instantly felt terrible about it. It was because my giant burrowing cockroach's glass box was slightly too humid for its liking. At one point I saw protesters carrying picket signs in my park. They can kill each other if you put the wrong animals together in the same habitat. They can feel fear and stress and lack of privacy and the effects of isolation. They can contract diseases or get injured by fighting one another for alpha status. My elephants, giraffes, orangutans, panda bears, and dozens of other beautiful creatures can starve to death or die of dehydration if I'm not careful. Operating System: Windows 7 (SP1+)/8.Planet Zoo has several official modes-Career, Challenge, Sandbox, and Franchise-but its two actual modes are Things Seem Fine and Oh God What Have I Done. It’s the same case with the recommended CPU Requirement: Ridiculously high when looking back at the other leaders in the genre. The recommended GPU requirement of at least a GeForce GTX 1070 or a Radeon RX 580 is more on par with massive open-world action shooters like Rage 2 than other sims like The Sims 4. It’s outrageous to think that a simulation game could have such high system requirements, but it’s true of Planet Zoo. If your PC can pass these recommended system requirements, then you can play the game with excellent FPS and graphics settings on Ultra. There’s a good chance that players will really want to crank up the graphics settings to help them fully immerse themselves in their zoo management simulations, which means they’ll need computers that meet the recommended system requirements. At launch, Frontier Developments states that you’ll also need 16GB of storage to install Planet Zoo. The CPU requirement is also a bit high (at least as far as minimum requirements go), so you’ll want at least a Core i5-2500 or an AMD FX-6350 along with at least 8GB of RAM. At least a GeForce GTX 770 or Radeon R9 270X is required to pass the minimum GPU requirement. Although the minimum requirements are much higher than other simulation games like Civilization 6 or Railroad Corporation, they are still quite acceptable if your PC was made in the last 5 or 6 years then you should be off to a good start. This amazing zoo management game features some amazing and detailed graphics, but that does mean some pretty high minimum requirements, and having a computer that passes them is essential if you want to play the game. Despite being a tycoon-type game that typically has lower system requirements than other genres, Planet Zoo actually has some moderate to high system requirements (at least compared to other titles in the genre). You will have the power to build beautiful habitats, decide how to manage your employees and funds, and best of all, the opportunity to meet all the animals that live in your wonderful zoo! Focus on the big picture, like where to place certain structures, while also being able to pay attention to some of the smaller details, like the color schemes of your rides. The developers of Planet Coaster and Zoo Tycoon, Frontier Developments, recently released Planet Zoo, and it has already become an instant hit, so now people are asking if their PC can run Planet Zoo.
